Why We Pull the Trigger
Working the graveyard shift as an attendant in the city morgue, Ender constantly witnesses many strange and gruesome scenes. But nothing disturbs him more than the fact that at home, his mom struggles with terminal lung cancer and the medical bills threaten to drown him.

One night at work, Ender stumbles upon the strange world of the underground black market for body parts and he quickly hatches a plan to earn some fast cash. Plastic surgeons, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies all need human specimens to practice on and they are not too picky about where they get the pieces. He enlists his reckless best friend, Otto, and his tough as nails co-worker, Alfonso, to help take body parts (limbs and joints) from the unclaimed remains in the morgue that will be buried in Potter's Field.

The gruesome work takes its psychological toll, testing their ideals of friendship, loyalty and duty. Soon their egos and their sliding loyalties threaten to fracture their fragile solidarity. Things come to a boiling point when one of the bodies they had cut up is unexpectedly claimed.

Why We Pull The Trigger explores the cost of bending our principles beyond the breaking point. It is a hard-hitting yet intimate look at the possibility of redemption in a world riddled with desperate situations and moral ambiguity.

Why We Pull The Trigger is currently in development.
